Huawei Honor has 5-inch AMOLED screen with beautiful displays and available in either golden black or porcelain white. The phones’s display will also allegedly be curved on all four edges.

And in Honor Magic –the Huawei puts the impressive features called “WiseScreen”. It relies on a sensor in the phone’s frame and an infrared sensor in the front facing camera. Whenever a user picks up the phone, the sensor and the camera work in tandem to recognize the owner’s hands and eyes, which turns on the screen.

A similar feature called “FaceCode Intelligent Recognition” forces the smartphone into only displaying message notifications when it recognizes the person holding the device.

The Magic is powered by an aging Kirin 950 processor –the same octa core SoC inside last year’s Mate 8, which is quite disappointing for a “concept phone.” The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes with 4GB of RAM plus 64GB of internal storage.

Regarding the camera, the device has 12MP dual camera setup (color + monochrome) on the back of the device, the same set of cameras as the Honor 8.

And on the front of the device, an 8MP camera for selfies.

Under the hood, it packs 2,900mAh battery. The device will also reportedly feature Huawei’s own fast charging technology, which could very well be aided by grapheme-assisted batteries, which Huawei recently announced.

The Huawei Honor Magic is priced as a premium device – CNY 3,700 ($530/€500) and is already available for pre-order in China.
